Zakat al-Mal is a sacred obligation and one of the foundational pillars of Islam, requiring eligible Muslims to give a prescribed portion of their wealth in purification and service. Through your Zakat, La Porte Islamic Center is able to support individuals and families in need—offering relief, dignity, and hope within our community.

By the permission of Allah, your recurring support enables La Porte Islamic Center to plan responsibly, maintain essential services, and continue providing a welcoming space for worship, learning, and community life.
Our journey
We are currently gathering in a temporary space in Deer Park, Texas—a prayer area and a place to support our growing community. While we are grateful for this space, it has limitations (one restroom, limited prayer space, minimal youth facilities, limited parking).
By the grace of Allah, new land has been purchased. We are actively fundraising and preparing to begin construction on a permanent masjid—one built not just for today, but for generations to come.
